Frequently Asked Questions

This is about building a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about bringing the issues raised in the original film back into the spotlight.

We are a team of experienced, multi-award winning documentary filmmakers and consider ourselves merely the messengers of this extremely important and relevant topic. To be successful, we need your help to bring this message to the masses.

Making any film is an expensive proposition. A documentary can be even more challenging. Travel, archival footage rights, paying all the various editors, sound mixers are all part of the equation. Since this is truly a labor of love for us, this is not about profit but about giving this story the attention it deserves. Our goal is to not only make an outstanding documentary but to take you along for the ride, to help light a fire under people to boldly act on the issues that together, we bring to light.

Sounds fancy but it’s not. Email us at pr@dev.stillworking9to5.com. There is a real person (Camille Hardman, Producer) behind this email and she will be answering any/all questions as they come in. In fact, anybody involved in this project will be glad to answer any questions/concerns/ideas that you may have. We are here to support you as much as we hope you are to support the film.

We plan on using the money, first and foremost, to get out a rough edit of the film. Why? We have been traveling for nearly two years, filming interviews, capturing footage, piecing together archival footage. We are close to pulling it all together in a first draft edit. Reaching our funding goal means we can accomplish this & more importantly put this effort in a position to shop it around to studios, festivals and other distribution channels that will help us advance to the next step which will be the mainstream.

We define success as building an extraordinary community of people who believe passionately in the idea of this documentary & who back up that belief with funding and outreach. We know so many people and organizations are targeting your money & time but we truly believe in our film-it’s message & timeliness. Success to us would be, of course, to surpass our funding goal and advance the project further than expected. And, not only because surpassing our goal would make getting this documentary closer to completion but equally as important, because it confirms our belief that this message is relevant and resonates as much or more today than it did nearly 40 years ago when the original film was released.
